Composite-clad options bring a separate advantage at the surface: the cladding layer behaves more stably than paint against UV and moisture, and colour fade progresses more slowly. A composite surface gives a close-to-real timber texture without carrying the maintenance load of timber.

How do conditions in İzmir change the technical choice?

The İzmir coastline is class C4 under ISO 9223, the inland districts C3. The demanding factor on the Aegean is not humidity but the UV load on south-western elevations in summer and the daily temperature swing: a dark leaf heats up considerably in the afternoon and cools quickly in the evening, and over time that expansion cycle affects the flatness of the leaf. For south-facing openings we therefore recommend light and mid tones; where a dark tone is wanted, the internal reinforcement profiles are spaced more closely and a paint system with high UV resistance is used on the outer face.

Once the measurements are approved the leaf is produced in our own factory — we do not subcontract, so a change of pattern or colour is still possible before production starts. Maintenance, warranty and spare parts

A steel door is not a maintenance-free product, but what it asks for is simple. Once a year, light oil on the hinges and the lock mechanism, a damp cloth along the gasket line and a fresh-water wash of the surface is enough in most cases. At addresses by the sea, shortening that cycle to six months keeps salt from settling into the paint film. We give a two-year warranty on the body and the welding work and five years on the lock mechanism; the only case outside the warranty is deformation caused by impact or forced entry. On spare parts we keep the cylinder, the handle set and the hinge pin in stock — a door does not stay shut waiting for a part years later.
