What is asked for in a villa door in Çorum?

Villa door demand in Çorum comes from the garden houses around the centre and from new build in Sungurlu and Osmancık. In housing near the organised industrial zone a second theme comes forward: dust collecting on the door surface and the marks left when it is wiped. In the houses of İskilip's protected fabric the exterior is constrained. Towards Alaca and Mecitözü use is permanent, winters are hard and demand rests directly on insulation.

What changes villa door prices in Çorum?

No single item sets the price of a villa door; dimensions, leaf construction and surface all enter the calculation together. Non-standard openings mean a purpose-made frame, and that is the first step in the cost. The second is the leaf: single or double, with or without a side panel or transom. The third is the surface — there is a clear difference between plain paint, timber texture and composite cladding. On the hardware side, stainless specification, the number of locking points and a door closer add to the total. Because everything is made to measure we do not publish a catalogue price. The survey is carried out online and free of charge; once you share the dimensions and a photograph we itemise the quote line by line, so you can see what each item costs. Installation is discussed as a separate item.

Villa door models and surface options

Model families are separated by leaf pattern: panelled classic, cassette-panel, horizontal-louvre and straight-lined contemporary surfaces. Classic patterns cast shadow through carving depth and sit well on stone or rendered facades; louvre and straight-lined surfaces suit newer glass-and-aluminium buildings. In colour, anthracite grey (RAL 7016), off-white and walnut-honey tones are the most requested. All models can be seen together on the villa door models page; every pattern there is built to the same body standard, and what differs between them is the surface and the hardware.

Exterior entrance and composite villa doors

An exterior entrance door solves a different set of problems from an internal one: rain, sun, temperature difference and forced entry. That is why a thermally broken leaf, a double line of gaskets and a threshold profile that directs water outwards are treated as standard on an exterior entrance. Composite-clad options bring a separate advantage at the surface: the cladding layer behaves more stably than paint against UV and moisture, and colour fade progresses more slowly. A composite surface gives a close-to-real timber texture without carrying the maintenance load of timber.

How do conditions in Çorum change the technical choice?

The dry climate puts the province in ISO 9223 class C2. Around the industrial zone the particulate load pulls it towards C3, but there is no marine or chemical influence anywhere in the province — corrosion is not the primary problem here. Two themes stand out. First, winter: the frost period is long and the annual range wide, a standard gasket loses its elasticity across that range, and the threshold goes through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Second, dust: around the industry, airborne dust settles on the paint and, left unwashed, thins the protective layer over time; the same dust enters the lock cylinder and the hinge seat, and on an oiled lock it turns into an abrasive paste. The answer: low-temperature EPDM, a thermally broken leaf, a non-porous flat surface that does not hold dust, and silicone- or graphite-based lock maintenance instead of grease.

Measurement, production and installation

The process starts with a free online survey: you measure the four corners and both diagonals of the opening and share them with a photograph, and we check the plumb of the frame and the floor level together. Once the measurements are approved the leaf is produced in our own factory — we do not subcontract, so a change of pattern or colour is still possible before production starts. Installation is quoted as a separate item; the frame perimeter is filled with polyurethane and the lock and hinges are adjusted before handover. You can see our coverage in and around Çorum on the Çorum service area page, and reach us for a survey and quote through the contact page.

Maintenance, warranty and spare parts

A steel door is not a maintenance-free product, but what it asks for is simple. Once a year, light oil on the hinges and the lock mechanism, a damp cloth along the gasket line and a fresh-water wash of the surface is enough in most cases. At addresses by the sea, shortening that cycle to six months keeps salt from settling into the paint film. A two-year warranty certificate is issued on delivery, and our cover for manufacturing and workmanship defects is not limited in time. On the lock mechanism the manufacturer's own warranty can run longer depending on the model. The only case outside the warranty is deformation caused by impact or forced entry. On spare parts we keep the cylinder, the handle set and the hinge pin in stock — a door does not stay shut waiting for a part years later.

Frequently asked in Çorum

Wiping the door leaves marks — was the wrong surface chosen?

Most likely yes, but the reason is not paint quality — it is porosity. On a painted surface dust settles into micro-scratches; wiped with a dry cloth it acts like abrasive, reducing gloss and leaving marks. On a non-porous composite or laminated surface the dust sits on top and comes off with a damp cloth without marking. A practical improvement on an existing door: a damp cloth instead of a dry one, and washing the surface a few times a year — the dust is removed before it builds up and thins the layer.

Is dust what ruins the lock?

Not dust alone, but dust meeting oil. Wind across open ground carries fine dust into the lock cylinder and the hinge seat; if the lock has been oiled, that dust sticks to the oil, turns into an abrasive paste and wears the cylinder from inside. So grease and machine oil do not go into a lock; silicone- or graphite-based products that do not hold dust and stay fluid at low temperatures are used instead. Once a year before winter is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.

Do the doors carry a security class such as RC2 or RC3?

We do not state a resistance class we cannot document. Under EN 1627 a class belongs to one tested configuration, and a door built to your opening is by definition a different configuration. What we do document is the components: the lock, the hardware, the glass and the steel each carry their own manufacturer certificates, European ones included, and we send copies on request.

Which certificates can you provide for a project?

For the materials that go into the door: the certificate of the lock manufacturer, of the stainless hardware, of the laminated glass and of the steel grade, plus the export papers for the shipment itself. Tell us which documents your architect or building authority asks for and we will send what exists before you order.
