A walnut leaf with a large panel, flanked by a narrow curved fixed leaf — that is what sets villa steel door model BD-TR46 apart. It is not sold in standard sizes; your entrance is measured on site and the leaf is built to that measurement. The catalogue finish is in a walnut tone.

Product Code: BD-TR46

Surface and Pediment Arrangement

The leaf structure is a single leaf with a narrow fixed leaf. The leaf surface is worked as a large panel. The finish is in a walnut tone.

A pedimented frame crowns the top. It is finished with a gold knocker and a gold handle. Cladding and hardware are not fixed; it can be produced with any of the alternatives on the cladding options page.

The design language is best described as classic villa.

Which Entrances Does It Suit?

It is most often used for homes with gardens and villa entrances. Because the side sections widen the opening, it suits wide-fronted entrances rather than narrow ones; it also brings daylight into the hall. We compare where a villa door and a building entrance door differ on the villa door vs building entrance door page.

Production and Installation

Measurements are taken from the door opening, not the existing leaf; the how to measure page walks through it step by step. Frame, sheet thickness, infill and lock specifications are listed in the table below. Sheet steel choices are compared on the galvanized or DKP sheet steel page, and lock alternatives on the lock systems page. After installation, the care and lifespan and warranty and service terms apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does model BD-TR46 cost?

We cannot quote a price before measuring. The size of the opening and your cladding, glass and lock choices directly affect the amount; the survey is free and is followed by an itemized quote. See steel door prices for details.

Can I have this model in a colour other than walnut?

Yes. The walnut finish shown is this model's catalogue selection; it can be produced in different colours with compact laminate, composite, marine plywood and wood veneer options. We compare the alternatives on the cladding options page.

Do I need to take the measurements myself?

We take the measurements during the survey; nothing is required on your part. Measurements are taken from the door opening, not the existing leaf — the method is explained on the how to measure page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
