What is asked for in a villa door in Malatya?

Villa door demand in Malatya comes largely from new build since the earthquake — in the houses being rebuilt in Battalgazi and Yeşilyurt the door is often discussed at the shell stage. That is a good position: frame anchoring can be planned to match the wall section. Detached houses within the apricot orchards are the second group; towards Doğanşehir and Darende there are mountain houses and permanent residence. A complaint owners often describe is seasonal: the door behaves differently in summer and winter, closing easily in one season and rubbing in the other.

What changes villa door prices in Malatya?

No single item sets the price of a villa door; dimensions, leaf construction and surface all enter the calculation together. Non-standard openings mean a purpose-made frame, and that is the first step in the cost. The second is the leaf: single or double, with or without a side panel or transom. The third is the surface — there is a clear difference between plain paint, timber texture and composite cladding. On the hardware side, stainless specification, the number of locking points and a door closer add to the total. Because everything is made to measure we do not publish a catalogue price. The survey is carried out online and free of charge; once you share the dimensions and a photograph we itemise the quote line by line, so you can see what each item costs. Installation is discussed as a separate item.

Villa door models and surface options

Model families are separated by leaf pattern: panelled classic, cassette-panel, horizontal-louvre and straight-lined contemporary surfaces. Classic patterns cast shadow through carving depth and sit well on stone or rendered facades; louvre and straight-lined surfaces suit newer glass-and-aluminium buildings. In colour, anthracite grey (RAL 7016), off-white and walnut-honey tones are the most requested. All models can be seen together on the villa door models page; every pattern there is built to the same body standard, and what differs between them is the surface and the hardware.

Exterior entrance and composite villa doors

An exterior entrance door solves a different set of problems from an internal one: rain, sun, temperature difference and forced entry. That is why a thermally broken leaf, a double line of gaskets and a threshold profile that directs water outwards are treated as standard on an exterior entrance. Composite-clad options bring a separate advantage at the surface: the cladding layer behaves more stably than paint against UV and moisture, and colour fade progresses more slowly. A composite surface gives a close-to-real timber texture without carrying the maintenance load of timber.

How do conditions in Malatya change the technical choice?

Low humidity puts the province in ISO 9223 class C2. It is an easy province as far as corrosion goes; what matters here is mechanical strength and the quality of the installation. Dry air causes wood and wood-based materials to shrink; the annual temperature swing is wide, and unless the clearance between leaf and frame allows for it, you get seasonal binding or, conversely, a seasonal gap — which is exactly the complaint owners describe. The right clearance is a figure calculated in manufacture, and it is easier to hold with single-body solutions: a steel leaf with composite or laminated cladding has no junction between two materials with different expansion coefficients, so the movement stays predictable. In new build the second issue is anchoring: wall sections differ from site to site and a frame fixed into the insulation layer works loose within a few years. That is why we ask for the wall thickness along with the measurements.

Measurement, production and installation

The process starts with a free online survey: you measure the four corners and both diagonals of the opening and share them with a photograph, and we check the plumb of the frame and the floor level together. Once the measurements are approved the leaf is produced in our own factory — we do not subcontract, so a change of pattern or colour is still possible before production starts. Installation is quoted as a separate item; the frame perimeter is filled with polyurethane and the lock and hinges are adjusted before handover. You can see our coverage in and around Malatya on the Malatya service area page, and reach us for a survey and quote through the contact page.

Maintenance, warranty and spare parts

A steel door is not a maintenance-free product, but what it asks for is simple. Once a year, light oil on the hinges and the lock mechanism, a damp cloth along the gasket line and a fresh-water wash of the surface is enough in most cases. At addresses by the sea, shortening that cycle to six months keeps salt from settling into the paint film. We give a two-year warranty on the body and the welding work and five years on the lock mechanism; the only case outside the warranty is deformation caused by impact or forced entry. On spare parts we keep the cylinder, the handle set and the hinge pin in stock — a door does not stay shut waiting for a part years later.

Frequently asked in Malatya

The door closes easily in one season and rubs in the other — has it gone out of adjustment?

The adjustment may be fine; the issue is the clearance. Across Malatya's wide annual temperature swing materials expand and contract, and if the clearance between leaf and frame was not left wide enough to absorb that, binding starts in the warm season. The fact that the symptom is seasonal already shows the leaf is sound. On an existing door a balance can be found by adjusting the hinges and the strike plate; on a new door the correct clearance is calculated in manufacture, and that calculation holds far more reliably on a single-body leaf.

At what stage should the door be ordered in a new build?

When the shell is finished and the opening and plaster level are final. Order too early and the opening changes later so the frame does not fit; leave it too late and reaching the right layer for the anchor becomes difficult. The second point matters especially in new build in Malatya, because wall sections differ and a frame fixed into the insulation layer works loose. Along with the measurements we ask for the wall thickness and, where possible, a photograph of the section; the survey is online and free of charge, and installation is discussed as a separate item.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.

Do the doors carry a security class such as RC2 or RC3?

We do not state a resistance class we cannot document. Under EN 1627 a class belongs to one tested configuration, and a door built to your opening is by definition a different configuration. What we do document is the components: the lock, the hardware, the glass and the steel each carry their own manufacturer certificates, European ones included, and we send copies on request.

Which certificates can you provide for a project?

For the materials that go into the door: the certificate of the lock manufacturer, of the stainless hardware, of the laminated glass and of the steel grade, plus the export papers for the shipment itself. Tell us which documents your architect or building authority asks for and we will send what exists before you order.
