BD-TR18 is a villa steel door model distinguished by its grey lamella leaf set in a black frame, alongside vertically divided side glazing. There's no standard size — the door opening is measured during the survey, and production follows that measurement. The photo shows a grey wood finish with a black frame.

Product Code: BD-TR18

Surface and Glass Panels

It's produced as a single leaf with double side panels. The surface is worked in horizontal lamellas. The color applied is grey wood with a black frame.

The model features vertically divided glass panels. A long stainless handle is used. The finish shown is the catalog choice — a different cladding can be selected from our cladding options.

The design language is described as modern villa.

Where Is It Used?

It's most often used in detached-house and house-with-garden projects. Because the side sections widen the opening, this suits broad-fronted entrances rather than narrow ones — and it brings daylight into the hall as well. The difference between the two types isn't just size — we've detailed it on our villa door vs. building entrance door page.

Production and Installation Process

Measurements are taken from the door opening, not the existing leaf — we've written up the step-by-step method on our how measurements are taken page. Frame, steel thickness, infill and lock specifications are listed in the feature table below. The steel choice is compared on our galvanized vs. cold-rolled steel page, and lock alternatives on our lock systems page. After installation, our care and lifespan and warranty and service terms apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does BD-TR18 cost?

We don't publish a list price, because the door is built to measure. The amount is set by the size of the door opening plus the cladding, glass and lock you choose. After a free survey, we provide a written, itemized quote; we've explained what affects the price on our steel door prices page.

Can I have this model made in a color other than grey wood with a black frame?

Yes, the color isn't fixed. The catalog shows grey wood with a black frame, but the cladding is chosen to suit the project; we've written up which finish works best where on our cladding options page.

Can the glass pattern be different?

Yes. The glass shown is this model's catalog finish; it can be produced in a different color and pattern as long as Şişecam 5+5 mm laminated glass is used. A version without glass is also possible.

How does the measuring stage work when ordering BD-TR18?

Measuring is our job. We measure the clear width and height of the door opening from the finished floor, plus the wall thickness; details are on our how measurements are taken page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
