The oversized textured smoke grey pivot door appears in our catalogue under code BY-7. It is made to measure; whatever the width and height of your entrance, the leaf is built to match.

Product Code: BY-7

Leaf Surface

The leaf configuration is single leaf. The leaf is built as an oversized textured composition. The catalogue colour is a smoke grey tone.

The finish shown is the catalogue selection — a different cladding can be chosen from the cladding options.

The design language is best described as modern pivot.

Who Is This Model For?

Villa entrances and wide-fronted detached homes are this model's typical settings. The single leaf layout adapts directly to conventional door openings. Because a pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door. As the leaf swings it takes up space in front and behind, so the entrance must allow for this clearance — details on the when to choose a pivot door page.

Measurement, Production and Installation

We take the measurements during the on-site survey — based on the door opening, not the existing leaf; the method is explained on the how to measure page. You can find this model's frame, leaf and lock specifications in the table below; the lock systems and galvanized or DKP sheet steel pages detail the options. After delivery, warranty and service coverage applies; see the care and lifespan page for keeping the surface in good condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does BY-7 cost?

We cannot quote a price before measuring. The size of the opening and your cladding, glass and lock choices directly affect the amount; the survey is free and is followed by an itemized quote. See steel door prices for details.

Can the colour of BY-7 be changed?

Yes — the colour is not fixed. The catalogue shows smoke grey, but the cladding is decided per project; on the cladding options page we explain which surface works best where.

Do I need to take the measurements myself?

Measuring is our job. We measure the clear width of the opening, the height from the finished floor and the wall thickness; the details are on the how to measure page.

How can I order model BY-7?

You can fill in the pre-order form on our website or call us on 0532 689 21 46. Quoting product code BY-7 in your request helps us respond faster. You can browse our other pivot steel door models on the pivot steel door models page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
