The model on this page is the chrome-strip red walnut double-leaf pivot door; its code is BY-146. It is made to measure; whatever the width and height of your entrance, the leaf is built to match. The catalog finish is a red walnut tone.

Product code: BY-146

Pattern and Color

The leaf layout is a double leaf, built with chrome strips. The catalog color is a red walnut tone.

Cladding and hardware are not fixed; the door can be produced with any of the alternatives on the cladding options page.

The design language is luxury pivot.

Who Is This Model For?

It is chosen primarily for villa entrances and hotel and showroom entrances. Thanks to the side sections, wide door openings are closed with a single unit. Because a pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door. As the leaf swings it takes up space in front and behind, so the entrance must allow for that clearance — details on the when to choose a pivot door page.

Production and Installation Process

Production starts with measurements taken on site. How the door opening is measured is explained on the how measurements are taken page; material choices are covered on the galvanized or DKP sheet steel and lock systems pages. This model's technical specifications are in the table below. The maintenance steps that extend the door's life are on the care and lifespan page, and what's covered is on the warranty and service page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the BY-146 model cost?

We can't quote a price without measuring. The size of the door opening and your choice of cladding, glass, and lock directly affect the total; the site survey is free, followed by an itemized quote. See steel door prices for details.

Can BY-146 be produced in a different color?

Yes, the color isn't fixed. It appears in red walnut in the catalog, but the cladding is decided per project; on the cladding options page we've written up which surface works best where.

How does the measuring stage work when ordering BY-146?

Measuring is our job. We measure the clear width of the door opening, the height from the finished floor, and the wall thickness; the details are on the how measurements are taken page.

How do I order the BY-146 model?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
