BY-118 is the product code of the diagonal lined mink pivot door with side glazing in our catalogue. It is made to measure; whatever the width and height of your entrance, the leaf is built to match. The image shows a mink finish.

Product Code: BY-118

Surface Pattern and Finish

It is produced as a single leaf. The model has a diagonally lined leaf with side glazing. The surface is finished in mink.

The finish shown is the catalogue selection — a different cladding can be chosen from the cladding options.

The design language is best described as modern pivot.

Where Is It Used?

It is the first choice for office and plaza entrances and for hotel and showroom entrances. Its single leaf layout fits standard-width entrances. Because a pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door. As the leaf swings it takes up space in front and behind, so the entrance must allow for this clearance — details on the when to choose a pivot door page.

From Measurement to Installation

Measurements are taken from the door opening, not the existing leaf; the how to measure page walks through it step by step. Frame, sheet thickness, infill and lock specifications are listed in the table below. Sheet steel choices are compared on the galvanized or DKP sheet steel page, and lock alternatives on the lock systems page. After installation, the care and lifespan and warranty and service terms apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the price of BY-118 determined?

There is no fixed price — since every leaf is made to measure, the amount varies with the dimensions, the cladding and the lock you choose. After the survey we send a written, itemized quote. The cost items are detailed on the steel door prices page.

Can I have this model in a colour other than mink?

Yes — the colour is not fixed. The catalogue shows mink, but the cladding is decided per project; on the cladding options page we explain which surface works best where.

How does the measurement stage work when ordering BY-118?

Our survey team measures on site. If you would still like to know how it works, the how to measure page explains the three points we measure from.

How do I get a quote for BY-118?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
