The glossy red oversized pivot door appears in our catalog under code BY-98. There is no standard size — the door opening is measured during the survey and production follows that measurement.

Product Code: BY-98

Leaf Surface

The leaf structure is a single leaf. The leaf is built in a glossy, oversized configuration. The finish is a red tone.

Cladding and hardware are not fixed; the door can be produced with any of the alternatives on our cladding options page.

Its design language is defined as modern pivot.

Which Entrances Suit This Model?

It is generally used in wide-fronted detached houses and hotel and showroom entrances. Its single-leaf configuration suits entrances of standard width. Because a pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door. As the leaf takes up space in front and behind while turning, the entrance must allow for that clearance — details on our when to choose a pivot door page.

Production and Installation Process

We take the measurements during the survey — based on the door opening, not the existing leaf; the method is explained on our how to measure page. You will find this model's frame, leaf and lock values in the table below; the lock systems and galvanized or DKP sheet steel pages detail the options. Maintenance steps that extend the door's life are on the care and lifespan page, and the coverage itself on the warranty and service page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the BY-98?

There is no fixed price — since every leaf is made to measure, the total depends on the dimensions, the cladding and the lock you choose. After the survey we send a written, itemized quote. We break down the cost items on our steel door prices page.

Can I order this model in a color other than red?

Yes. The red finish in the image is this model's catalog selection; it can be produced in other colors with compact laminate, composite, marine plywood and wood veneer options. We compare them on our cladding options page.

How is the BY-98 measured?

Our survey team measures on site. If you would still like to know the process, our how to measure page explains the three points we measure from.

How can I order the BY-98 model?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
