The model on this page is the horizontal-grain red walnut chrome-handle glazed pivot door; its code is BY-308. It isn't sold in ready-made sizes; your entrance is measured on site, and the leaf is manufactured to that measurement. The catalog finish is a red walnut tone.

Product Code: BY-308

Surface Pattern and Finish

The panel layout is a single leaf. The surface treatment is horizontal-grain, chrome-handle, and glazed. The catalog color is a red walnut tone.

Color, pattern, and handle can all be adjusted to suit the project; we compare the options on the finish options page.

The design language is best described as luxury pivot.

Who Is This Model For?

Villa entrances and office and plaza entrances are the typical settings for this model. The single-leaf layout adapts directly to standard door openings. Because the pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door could. Since the leaf sweeps space in front of and behind it as it turns, the entrance needs to allow for that clearance — details are on the when a pivot door makes sense page.

Production and Installation Process

Production starts with an on-site measurement. How the measurement is taken from the door opening is covered on the how we take the measurement page; material choices are covered on the galvanized vs. cold-rolled steel and lock systems pages. The technical specifications for this model are in the table below. The maintenance steps that extend the door's lifespan are on the maintenance and lifespan page, and the coverage details are on the warranty and service page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does BY-308 cost?

We don't publish a list price, because every door is built to measure. The final amount depends on the size of the door opening, the finish, glass, and lock you choose. After a free on-site survey, we provide a written, itemized quote — we explain what drives the price on the steel door prices page.

Can I order this model in a color other than red walnut?

Yes. The red walnut finish shown is the catalog's default choice; the model can also be produced in other colors using compact laminate, composite, water-transfer, or wood-effect finishes. We compare the options on the finish options page.

How does the measurement stage work when ordering BY-308?

Taking the measurement is our job. We measure the clear width of the door opening, the height from the finished floor, and the wall thickness; the details are on the how we take the measurement page.

How can I order the BY-308 model?

You can fill out the pre-order form on the site, or call us at 0532 689 21 46. Mentioning the BY-308 product code in your request speeds things up. You can browse other models on the pivot steel door models page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
