The BY-242 mustard yellow minimalist pivot villa door is a pivot steel door built entirely to measure. Production begins after your order: first comes the free on-site survey, then the leaf is built to fit the door opening. The finish in the photo is mustard yellow cladding.

Product Code: BY-242

Pattern and Color

It is produced as a single leaf. The leaf is designed with a clean, minimalist face. The color applied is mustard yellow.

Color, pattern, and handle choices can be adapted to your project; the cladding options page compares the alternatives.

Its design language is best described as modern pivot.

Where Is It Used?

Office and plaza entrances along with villa entrances are this model's typical settings. The single-leaf layout adapts directly to conventional door openings. Because a pivot system transfers the leaf's weight to the floor, it can carry a taller, heavier leaf than a hinged door. Since the leaf sweeps space in front and behind as it turns, the entrance must allow for that clearance — details on the when to choose a pivot door page.

From Measurement to Installation

We take the measurements during the survey — based on the door opening, not the existing leaf; the method is explained on the how measurements are taken page. You will find this model's frame, leaf, and lock specifications in the table below; the lock systems and galvanized or DKP sheet pages detail the options. After delivery, our warranty and service coverage takes effect; see the care and lifespan page for tips on protecting the finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is model BY-242?

We do not publish list prices, because every door is made to measure. The final figure depends on the size of the door opening and your choice of cladding, glass, and lock. After a free on-site survey, we provide a written, itemized quote; we explain what drives the price on the steel door prices page.

Can I have this model made in a color other than mustard yellow?

Yes, the color is not fixed. The catalog shows mustard yellow, but the cladding is chosen per project; on the cladding options page we cover which surface works best where.

How does the measurement stage work when ordering BY-242?

We take the measurements during the survey; nothing is required on your part. Measurements come from the door opening, not the existing leaf — the method is explained on the how measurements are taken page.

How do I get a quote for BY-242?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
