The side-glazed anthracite understated pivot villa door appears in our catalog under code BY-144. Like every door we make, this model is produced to measurement; no ready-made leaf is supplied from stock.

Product Code: BY-144

Leaf Surface

The leaf structure is single-leaf. The surface treatment is side-glazed and understated. The finish is in an anthracite tone.

The finish shown in the photo is the catalog selection — a different coating can be chosen from the coating options.

The design language is described as modern pivot.

Which Entrances Does It Suit?

It is typically used in wide-fronted detached house and office/plaza entrance projects. The single-piece leaf presents an unbroken surface when viewed from outside. Because the load rests on the floor rather than on hinges, the leaf can be considerably wider and thicker. As it requires clearance to swing, it is not suitable for narrow entrances that open directly onto a staircase; the conditions are listed on the when to choose a pivot door page.

From Measurement to Installation

The measurement is taken from the door opening rather than the existing leaf; we've written out how it's measured step by step on the how measurements are taken page. Frame, sheet-metal thickness, filling, and lock specifications are listed in the feature table below. The choice of sheet metal is compared on the galvanized vs. cold-rolled steel page, and lock alternatives on the lock systems page. After delivery, the warranty and service coverage applies; see the maintenance and lifespan page for surface care.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the price determined for BY-144?

There is no fixed price — since every leaf is manufactured to measurement, the amount varies with the size, the coating, and the lock chosen. We send a written, itemized quote after the site survey. We've broken down the cost items on the steel door prices page.

Can the color of the BY-144 door be changed?

Yes. The anthracite finish shown in the photo is this model's catalog selection; it can be produced in other colors with compact laminate, composite, water-marbled, or wood-look coating options. We've compared the options on the coating options page.

How is the measurement taken for BY-144?

Our survey team takes the measurement on site. Still, if you'd like to know the process, we've written which three points are measured on the how measurements are taken page.

How can I order the BY-144 model?

You can fill out the pre-order form on our site or call us at 0532 689 21 46. Mentioning the BY-144 product code speeds up the process. You can browse other pivot steel door models on our pivot steel door models page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for a custom villa door?

Production takes 20-25 days from the day the specification is approved. Custom detailing — carved cladding, oversized leaves, special glass — can extend that, and we confirm the date in writing before starting. Ocean freight time to the destination port is added on top.

How are steel doors packaged for sea freight export?

Each door is crated in a wooden case built to its own dimensions, with edge protection and corner blocks, then strapped to prevent movement inside the container. Full container loading is used for project quantities; single doors and small orders ship as groupage cargo.

What measurements do you need to quote?

The width, height and wall thickness of the rough opening, in millimetres or in inches — whichever your drawings use. Photographs of the opening from inside and outside help us confirm the swing direction and the frame detail. No site visit is needed.

Can you manufacture to imperial (inch) dimensions?

Yes. An opening given as 36 x 80 inches is manufactured to that dimension directly. Nothing is converted to a nearest metric size and rounded, so the door arrives at the size your drawing specifies.

Who installs the door at the destination?

Your own contractor. Every shipment includes an installation drawing and the frame fixing set, and the frame is designed to be set into the opening without special tooling.

What export documents travel with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus whatever else the customs broker at the destination requires. Documentation is prepared before the container leaves the factory.
