The coastal strip is C4 under ISO 9223; inland and toward Döşemealtı it is C3. In Antalya, though, the main thing wearing the finish down is UV radiation rather than salt.
What puts a door to the test in Antalya?
In summer a dark metal surface in direct sun gets far hotter than the air around it. That heat fades the paint pigment, ages the gasket quickly and produces measurable expansion in the door leaf over the course of a day.
Delivery and installation
Delivery is from Istanbul; because of the distance, the site survey and the installation are combined into one schedule. During the tourist season, installation hours inside gated developments are agreed with the management in advance.
How we build for Antalya
On south- and west-facing facades we talk the dark-color choice through with the customer; if they still want a dark shade, we use an exterior-grade paint system with high UV resistance. Where the entrance sits under a canopy or the shade of an eave, that restriction falls away. For gaskets we choose a heat-resistant EPDM.

Every leaf is built the same way regardless of the model: an Ereğli A1-grade 2 mm sheet frame, a 1.5 + 1.5 mm omega-folded monoblock leaf 90 mm thick, and 80 kg/m³ rock wool as the core fill. The lock and hinge areas are reinforced to 3 mm, and the lock itself is an Italian Mottura or Mul-T-Lock unit.
For flat entrance doors the surface temperature is what ages the door, not the sea. A door in direct sun gets far hotter than the air, and that heat is what fades the pigment and ages the gasket.

An exterior door faces rain, sun and the day-to-night temperature swing head-on, so the cladding decision matters more than anything else. We use compact laminate, composite and marine plywood claddings that hold up outdoors, 304-grade stainless hardware as standard, and Şişecam 5+5 mm laminated glass in glazed models.
On south- and west-facing entrances we talk the dark-color choice through before the order. If the customer still wants a dark shade, we use an exterior paint system with high UV resistance and a gasket profile that does not take a permanent set in the heat.

A pivot door carries its weight on floor and ceiling bearings instead of hinges, which is what makes sizes above 1.2 m and leaf weights past 200 kg possible. The bearing set is the critical component: we use a load-rated pivot system, and the floor bearing is positioned against the structural slab during installation, not into the screed.
Pivot entrances are usual in the villa and hotel projects along the coast. A wide leaf in direct sun expands measurably over a day, so the bearing clearance is set for the hot hours rather than for the morning.

What is the warranty on villa doors used outdoors, and how durable are the materials?
Manufacturing and workmanship defects are covered with no time limit, and a two-year official warranty certificate is issued on delivery. Component warranties follow their own manufacturers — up to 25 years on the lock system. Outdoors, durability comes down to the specification: an Ereğli A1-grade body, a cladding rated for exterior use such as compact laminate or composite, stainless hardware and a multi-layer paint system.
Will an anthracite gray door fade in the Antalya sun?
With standard paint there is a risk of fading. An exterior-grade, UV-resistant powder coating removes most of that risk. If the door stays in shade, there is no restriction on color at all.
Why does a door in direct sun become harder to close during the day?
Thermal expansion makes the leaf a few millimeters larger. If the measurements and clearances allow for that expansion from the start, the problem never arises; on a door where it already has, a hinge adjustment corrects it.
