Our production facility is in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul. On jobs across the city that shortens the time between measurement and installation: no freight, no middleman and no pending shipment sitting between the site survey and the production schedule. Corrosion exposure
Most of Istanbul falls into class C3 (medium) under ISO 9223; the Bosphorus shoreline, the Princes' Islands and the Silivri–Şile coastal strip rise to C4 because of salt aerosol. Along heavy-traffic arterial roads, sulfur compounds from exhaust fumes shorten paint life further.
What puts a door to the test in İstanbul?
Winter temperatures drop a few degrees below zero, but the real wear comes from relative humidity that stays around 70% all year. The gap between the heated interior and the cold outer surface causes condensation on the inner face of an uninsulated door leaf, and those water droplets start rust in the hinge recesses and around the lock keep.

How we build for İstanbul
On an exterior door we insist on a thermally broken leaf and a double line of gaskets; that is the first thing that keeps condensation away. For addresses along the Bosphorus and the coast we specify 304-grade stainless steel hardware and a leaf that is phosphate-coated before electrostatic powder coating. Building entrances shift the priorities: with hundreds of open-and-close cycles a day, the hinge bearing and the door closer matter more than leaf thickness.

Every leaf is built the same way regardless of the model: an Ereğli A1-grade 2 mm sheet frame, a 1.5 + 1.5 mm omega-folded monoblock leaf 90 mm thick, and 80 kg/m³ rock wool as the core fill. The lock and hinge areas are reinforced to 3 mm, and the lock itself is an Italian Mottura or Mul-T-Lock unit.
In the central districts most of the work is building and flat entrance doors, where the deciding factor is not leaf thickness but how many times a day the door opens. We specify the hinge bearing and the door closer for that cycle count, and on building entrances we fit a lock body rated for heavy use.

An exterior door faces rain, sun and the day-to-night temperature swing head-on, so the cladding decision matters more than anything else. We use compact laminate, composite and marine plywood claddings that hold up outdoors, 304-grade stainless hardware as standard, and Şişecam 5+5 mm laminated glass in glazed models.
At addresses along the Bosphorus and on the Silivri–Şile coastal strip the corrosion class rises to C4, so a villa door there gets stainless hardware and a phosphate-pretreated, multi-layer paint system. Inland, on the northern side of the city, the priority shifts to the thermal break and the double gasket line that keep winter condensation off the inner face.

A pivot door carries its weight on floor and ceiling bearings instead of hinges, which is what makes sizes above 1.2 m and leaf weights past 200 kg possible. The bearing set is the critical component: we use a load-rated pivot system, and the floor bearing is positioned against the structural slab during installation, not into the screed.
Pivot doors go mostly into the villa developments on the northern side of the city and the detached houses along the Bosphorus, where the entrance is wide and the architecture is contemporary. Because the survey and installation are done by our own Istanbul crew, the bearing alignment can be checked on site before the floor finish goes down.
