Constant high humidity puts it in the ISO 9223 C3-C4 range. The surface stays wet far longer than the national average, and that is the parameter that really sets the rate of corrosion.
What puts a door to the test in Rize?
Rain falls so consistently that the door never finds an interval to dry out. Water clings to horizontal surfaces and profile joints; when moisture that has got behind the gasket has no way to drain, it stays there all year.

How we build for Rize
In Rize, fully sealed weld seams and a drained bottom edge are not up for negotiation. We increase the coating thickness and use stainless steel for every moving part, hinges and lock included. We do not recommend frames with wood core fill in this province.
Rize Made-to-Measure Steel Door Manufacturing
Every leaf is built the same way regardless of the model: an Ereğli A1-grade 2 mm sheet frame, a 1.5 + 1.5 mm omega-folded monoblock leaf 90 mm thick, and 80 kg/m³ rock wool as the core fill. The lock and hinge areas are reinforced to 3 mm, and the lock itself is an Italian Mottura or Mul-T-Lock unit.

An exterior door faces rain, sun and the day-to-night temperature swing head-on, so the cladding decision matters more than anything else. We use compact laminate, composite and marine plywood claddings that hold up outdoors, 304-grade stainless hardware as standard, and Şişecam 5+5 mm laminated glass in glazed models.
We do not recommend frames with a wooden element for exterior use in Rize. Moisture that gets behind the gasket has to have somewhere to drain, so the bottom edge is drained rather than sealed shut.

A pivot door carries its weight on floor and ceiling bearings instead of hinges, which is what makes sizes above 1.2 m and leaf weights past 200 kg possible. The bearing set is the critical component: we use a load-rated pivot system, and the floor bearing is positioned against the structural slab during installation, not into the screed.
Pivot entrances are chosen for the tea-garden houses and newer villas along the coast. Under this much water the bearing set is stainless without exception; a galvanized bearing will not last here.

What is the warranty on villa doors used outdoors, and how durable are the materials?
Manufacturing and workmanship defects are covered with no time limit, and a two-year official warranty certificate is issued on delivery. Component warranties follow their own manufacturers — up to 25 years on the lock system. Outdoors, durability comes down to the specification: an Ereğli A1-grade body, a cladding rated for exterior use such as compact laminate or composite, stainless hardware and a multi-layer paint system.
With rainfall like this, which door actually lasts?
What decides it is not the model but the manufacturing detail: sealed welds, a drained bottom edge, stainless hardware and a thick finish. With all four, the door gives no trouble; with one of them missing, even the most expensive model wears out within a few years.
What should be done if the door gasket gets moldy?
Wipe the gasket down and feed it with a silicone-based care product. If the mold keeps coming back, there is water behind it that cannot drain, and the real fix is finding where.
