Muş Steel Doors & Made-to-Measure Villa Door Manufacturing
Muş sits on a high plain with some of the coldest winters and deepest snow cover in the country. Nearly everything about a door here follows from that: insulation, gasket behaviour at low temperature and what happens at the threshold when the snow melts.
Districts we serve: Merkez, Bulanık, Malazgirt, Varto, Korkut, Hasköy
Corrosion exposure
The dry, cold continental climate puts the province in ISO 9223 class C2 — one of the lowest corrosion loads nationally. Rust is not the failure mode here.
What puts a door to the test in Muş?
The frost period runs for months and snow accumulates in front of entrances. The indoor-outdoor difference regularly passes 45 degrees, so an uninsulated leaf conducts cold through to the inner face. Meltwater at the threshold refreezes overnight, and standard gaskets lose their elasticity permanently.
Delivery and installation
Deliveries are planned in batches and the survey and installation are combined into one programme. In winter the date follows the roads; we prefer to complete threshold and anchoring work before the ground freezes.
How we build for Muş
Thermally broken leaf, high insulation value in the core fill, a cold-rated double gasket line and an automatic drop seal — in this province all four are specification rather than options. We also plan the opening direction with the snow line in mind.
Muş Made-to-Measure Steel Door Manufacturing
Every leaf is built the same way regardless of the model: an Ereğli A1-grade 2 mm sheet frame, a 1.5 + 1.5 mm omega-folded monoblock leaf 90 mm thick, and 80 kg/m³ rock wool as the core fill. The lock and hinge areas are reinforced to 3 mm, and the lock itself is an Italian Mottura or Mul-T-Lock unit.
The frost period runs for months and a standard gasket takes a permanent set within a single winter. Flat entrance doors here are built with a cold-rated profile and a thermally broken leaf from the start.

An exterior door faces rain, sun and the day-to-night temperature swing head-on, so the cladding decision matters more than anything else. We use compact laminate, composite and marine plywood claddings that hold up outdoors, 304-grade stainless hardware as standard, and Şişecam 5+5 mm laminated glass in glazed models.
An exterior door gets high insulation in the core fill, a cold-rated double gasket line and an automatic drop seal. With a 45-degree indoor-outdoor difference these are what keep the inner face near room temperature.

A pivot door carries its weight on floor and ceiling bearings instead of hinges, which is what makes sizes above 1.2 m and leaf weights past 200 kg possible. The bearing set is the critical component: we use a load-rated pivot system, and the floor bearing is positioned against the structural slab during installation, not into the screed.
Pivot entrances are specified in the newer detached houses on the plain. Snow banks in front of the entrance, so the drop seal and the bearing position are planned around the snow line rather than the opening alone.

Common questions from Muş
Does Bayrakdoor carry out a free site survey in Muş?
Yes, and there are two ways to do it. The online survey is free and immediate: you send photographs and the measurements of the opening, and we return a written quote. For confirmed orders the on-site survey is also free — we combine it with the installation in a single trip to Muş, so the distance costs you nothing.
How many days does delivery take for a steel door or villa door ordered in Muş?
Production takes 20-25 days once the measurements are approved, plus road transport to Muş. The figure moves with the specification: cladding, lock system and non-standard dimensions all affect it. Shipments are planned in batches and the installation date is fixed at the time of the order, so it appears in your written quote rather than being estimated afterwards.
What is the warranty on villa doors used outdoors, and how durable are the materials?
Manufacturing and workmanship defects are covered with no time limit, and a two-year official warranty certificate is issued on delivery. Component warranties follow their own manufacturers — up to 25 years on the lock system. Outdoors, durability comes down to the specification: an Ereğli A1-grade body, a cladding rated for exterior use such as compact laminate or composite, stainless hardware and a multi-layer paint system.
The gasket lost its elasticity after one winter. Is that normal?
For a standard profile in this climate, unfortunately yes — below a certain temperature the material takes a permanent set. An EPDM profile rated for low temperature does not, and replacing the gasket restores the seal if the leaf is sound.
How cold does it get behind the door?
With a thermally broken leaf and insulated fill, the inner face stays close to room temperature even when it is -25 °C outside. Without the thermal break the same leaf conducts the cold through and condensation forms on the inside.
How the process works in Muş
Just send us the code of the model you like. Our team travels to Muş, measures the width, height and wall thickness of the door opening, and checks the installation conditions on site. We then prepare a written, itemized quote. The site survey is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
Manufacturing happens at our own factory in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, and our own team handles installation. With no middlemen involved, one company is responsible for measurement, production and service.
Request your free survey for Muş
Send the measurements of the door opening and a photograph over WhatsApp and we will price it the same day — the survey is free and places you under no obligation. If you would rather talk it through, give us a call; a model code is enough to start.
